By the time this show goes out everyone will of course know that Civ 6 is getting a new expansion called Gathering Storm. We’ll see how that lands, the base game and its first expansion are not very highly rated on Steam. Who knows, maybe this will be the one that really cements the game as the best yet.

nice show, thanks.
was very interested in MYZ:RtE but it is unfortunately another game i’m gonna miss on purpose as it uses DRM i don’t like (in this case denuvo).
so looking forward to Phoenix Point and see what that will bring. on the other hand, there is the update/addon for Battletech incoming, so new tactical game time there.

Game now requires 1.5GB less RAM to run! Optimizations were made to which audio files are loaded and when are played which allowed for a reduction of 1.5GB of RAM required to play the game. This is especially critical for lower-end graphics cards that don’t have dedicated RAM.
While (part of) the declared system requirements is:
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Graphics: 1GB+ graphics card.
Sounds like a hot mess. Not very surprising to hear from the people who think they can make a (good) game knowing nothing about low end programming though.

I gather your making an assumption, have you actually tried it?

BLACK FRIDAY SALE ON STEAM!!!! I just bought my best friend Endless Legend for $7.50 and we played a game over steam multi-player. First time I’ve done that, was a lot of fun.

Writing software (including low level) – yes. Writing games – no. I understand that games isn’t just a software. Too many people are misinformed that the “software” part can be avoided (automated) while writing games.
