  1. As I understand it the subsidiary-through-war thing is specific to the criminal syndicates, because the ONLY way to get them off your worlds is to declare war on them. If you want regular megacorps gone you can simply shut them down via diplomacy.

    1. No, they specifically said that if you cancel your trade treaty with a regular megacorp their branch offices in your territory won’t go away until you declare war on them.

And any kind of Megacorp can make or be made into a subsidiary through war or diplomacy.

  2. I own a copy of scythe (the board game) plus the first 2 expansions and i must say i really love the game ( not as much as i love my family, lol). It has a lot of similarities with 4xs, but as your guest said it is not an actual 4x. In terms of the digital version i dont see any reason to buy it. People have been playing it in tabletop sinulator for years now and for just 20 euros you have digital acess to almost every board game ever made. The eclipse digital version you have mentioned is no longer on Steam… I guess that it is related with the fact that they have launched a kickstarter for the 2nd edition of eclipse the boardgame a couple months ago… At least its what i think because at the exact same time the digital version stopped being available ( it sure doesnt look like a coincidence to me )

  3. Is it just me or does “Subsidiary” vassalization seem almost identical to the Great Khan’s “Satrapies”? Extort income like a Tributary and join in wars like a regular Vassal, they didn’t say if any of your fleet cap is diverted to the overlord though.
