  1. huh, what…..nate doesn’t like bethesda games? booooo!

    just kidding :)
i am a longtime bethesda games fan. brought all fallout titles, i think all elder scrolls. but the things they did or tried (hard drm, money for mods, suing people for selling second hand box-games, ….) in the recent years made me avoid their games.

    thanks for the show!

  2. The whole technology discussion was a bit odd, just because you can understand how something works, doesn’t mean you have the technological infrastructure to make it/use it. I always thought that technology development was a combination of both.

Nate – what ever happened to the OE Review?

  3. Alas poor Stellaris, I knew it… ? Mark, I think I’m having the same problem as you, just haven’t had the heart to get back into it lately. And here comes yet another major subsystem overhaul, which will certainly result in another cascade of major bug fixing. Stellaris used to be one of my favorites, but I find recently that my gaming time/energy is better spent elsewhere.

  4. Nice try with the technical jargon on Stellaris, but it was fairly wrong, not that it matters to much to get the ideas. What’s actually silly, though, is how many games you claim are from Paradox Interactive – other than Triumph (now Paradox France), PDX didn’t buy anyone and have little influence, they just have publishing contracts. As far as what is public, anyway.
On the other hand, the Two Minute Steam Hate segment is just sad now, regardless of the actual issues. I’m not going to be an ass about something you’ve been giving me for free for years, so keep doing it if you want to, I just want to give you feedback that I’m not caring or even listening to that bit anymore.
