  1. @stellaris: i have now 1006 hours in game and haven’t won any game yet.
i played a few times (3-5) through the endgame-crisis (some winning, some loosing) but i never met a winning condition.
and nowdays (before the big AI problems) i played mostly to the exact point talked about in the podcast, somewhere late mid-game when most is set.

@pdxcon: i don’t like teasers or teasing news or announcing a teaser as “news”….show what you have or don’t. that was just stupid from pdx, at least for me.
i’m not interested in the game anymore even before i know what it will be.

@SMB2: great game, i also got it, played SMB1 also. though i have no idea of baseball and don’t understand any of the statistics, but the gameplay is easy and mega fun!

  2. Troy is always very negative and hard on Eador. Troy doesn’t like the games; which is perfectly fine; but to me it means he should not have done the review. His review was based on very few hours; and those hours were spread over multiple months. I think a review should be done by someone who basically likes the genre and the game.

  3. I personally like Eador games, but dislike the big long sessions of conquering the map as it gets very tedious and sometimes the RNG. But playing against one AI with 20 provinces was dissatisfying. Somehow the HOMM3 maps are better. I have logged more hours in Eador than Troy and had a high level > 20 caster. I think the problem is that the Eador maps are too large; and the maps are hard to read as you can’t really zoom into the provinces like the HOMM maps.

  4. Stellaris player here with about 1000 hours. I have very few achievement, because I don’t gets the point of achievement, and I nearly always plays with mods.
I have not “won” a game. As I only play as long that I having fun, and moping up weak AI players is not fun for me.
The end game setting value I use is 1,0 at that point, where I don’t feel, that I have to do to much min/max
Some of the mods I use right now are:
APSR, Dynamic Difficulty, Dynamic Political Events, Guilli’s planet modifiers, Immersive Galaxy, Kugelblitz, Make Space Sexy Again, More AI Personalities, More Events Mod, Potent Rebellions, TFW’s Bunch of Ship Pars, Taskforce Xeno, Ui Overhaul 1080p, V-Mods Species, Xeno Biodiversity,
