  1. good show again, thanks.

@youtube….for me, the recent stuff just isn’t interesting for me. either it’s not my kind of game or i already have the game so i would rather play it myselfe :)
but there sure will be videos of games that i don’t own and am interested in again.

did you hear anything from predestination? they are on 1.0 for some time now and besides the “hotfixes” it’s quite silent. i was expecting to see a rundown to full release but it’s like in the past…..patches and then some month silence :/

  2. Mines were in Stars way back. You could flood the area with them and ships would need sweepers to clear them or get stuck.

      1. I totally love Stars! I was playing recently, with this “new” DOS pack on the autohost forum. Game is still awesome!

  3. The multiple social media thing was why I assumed the April Fools giveaway was a joke initially. Why would I follow you on multiple social media? I subscribed to your RSS feed. I don’t miss anything. I’m not also going to follow you on Facebook or Twitter.

    1. Why? You don’t have to. But it is a way for us to get the word out. As it stands, giveaways and contests are already weird since people sometimes leave their prizes uncollected. But we don’t force anyone to do anything, but the guys do great work on youtube and here and viewership dropped off there as a results of google/YouTube idiocy. So, we’re trying to get people to look again. You know?

  4. Sorry to hear about the YouTube shenanigans. I never rely on YT /Google to recommend anything sensible so I’ve always just had the eXplorminate “Lets Play” channel bookmarked and just check it from time to time (every 5 minutes, if I’m waiting for a LP I’m following.. hehe)

Great show as always, bonus points for a relevant reference to Howard the Duck — the mutant fowl from the Mutant Year Zero trailer actually does kind of give off a Howard-ish vibe even though the animation style is different. Or maybe I’m just seeing what I want to see. Or what I really don’t want to see. I’m not sure. :)

  5. I knew you would find another game to play next Nate, that is besides Dom5!

BTW – there is a let’s play that discusses why Dominions is such a great game (and what isn’t great about it as well).

  6. Regarding the podcast segment about your YouTube channel…ok, well, before diving into some constructive feedback, let me first say I really love what you guys at eXplorminate are doing, and I’m an avid fan of the podcasts as well as a Steam group and YouTube subscriber/participant/follower.

So here’s my $0.02 on the YouTube channel: Lately it appears the YouTube content leans completely towards LP’s, however that’s not what I come to eXplorminate for. I come for informed opinions and advice, heads up on upcoming or current strategy and 4x games, early impressions videos, tutorials and so forth. As for pure LP’s, not so much. Don’t get me wrong, the LP’s you’ve posted are quite nice, but I think you eXplorminators have the potential to provide much more compelling value than that (and have already certainly done so). There are a lot of LP’ers out there, but you have the ability to present something far more unique and interesting, given your expertise.

So, again, take this merely as a bit of (admittedly) biased constructive feedback, and please keep up,the great work (truly!).

    1. Understandable, but a quick FYI, the last video of most MP series has an opinion section. An informal review and impressions part. Give them a glance and let us know what you think.

      1. Thanks for reminding me about that, I had almost forgotten. Yes those final wrap up videos are really great, very useful and interesting! (And again, the LP’s themselves are also quite nice, I guess my comments were primarily regarding general focus.)

  7. I press the Subscription button and all subscriptions are there. I guess people forgot how to use an interface after years of modern ui nonsense.

      1. It shows the number of new videos (per channel – under subscriptions). I guess I don’t understand why it is a problem (for me) because I don’t watch youtube on a phone.
Don’t care much for you latest “friends” videos though.
