  1. Hi guys,

We had a lot of technical problems recording this week. As a result, we didn’t get Joe the podcast until late Tuesday night, and he STILL GOT THE NOTES DONE!!! He deserves a lot of credit for all his hard work to provide them for everybody.

  2. I’m ok with the Stellaris hyper lanes. Finding the right choke points is good. I have to keep 2 fleets on opposite ends on my empire so I can intercept pirates before they do too much damage. This is good. Better than teleporting my doomstack around without a challenge.
I thought Comic Books were the source of all evil??!! Now it’s games?

  3. At this point I don’t think anyone expects either Nate or Troy to ever play Dominions. Que sera sera. It would help with the description of the updates though. For example, every unit in Dominions has a chassis describing its body. Humanoids have a head, 2 arms, 2 legs, and a body and some misc slots. But dragons, eagles, giant octopi and other entities can have more complex body forms. This determines what equipment you can wear and determines how “afflictions” are applied. You won’t see a giant snake wearing armor for example. If you lose an arm you may not be able to carry a shield or use a 2-handed weapon. If you are struck in the head you might go blind or receive brain damage. In the leg you may get a limp or become crippled.

So when can we expect the Dom5 review? It should come fairly quickly after Oriental Empires based on release date.

    1. Heh, never say never. Everyone swore I’d never play, much less enjoy Stellaris. I have more then 70 hours played so far (still playing it) and I am actually enjoying it. So, who knows. Is it a typical game for me? No, but so what, sometimes I have a change of heart (if time permits).

I m not learning about the game to just sound smarter. I’m studying it to see if it is something that I might end up playing.

      Who knows…
