  1. Many of Eador’s diehards (who I’m not) believe that the “Masters of the Broken World” (followed by the “Imperium”) took a very wrong turn. Some of them are (continuously) developing the “New Horizons” unofficial mod to the “Genesis”. It’s huge – the added content and mechanics are bigger than the “original” ones. Right now the “New Horizons” has way more content (and mechanics) than the “Imperium” does (and the graphics in the “Imperium” is outdated anyway). The development is in Russian, but there are English releases (a quick search has found one from January 2018).

  2. Nate, some of your Civ VI info has been a bit, umm, off. Not way out of line, but not correct either. I think in a previous show (maybe 1 or 2 shows ago) you had mentioned that the expansion has an emphasis on religion. That was actually the previous patch or the one before that, I forget. The expansion is probably more about the fleshing out of the eras, and the new loyalty system, and of course the governors. This show, some of the info about the new era points screen was a bit off in how it works. There are not a lot of choices to be made, they work more like Steam achievements, where you accomplish goals and get points. With the reward/penalty being the dark/normal/golden/heroic ages.

There is a choice to be made on the emergency (name?) event. It is not automatic that it will trigger for, but there is a chance for it to trigger on things like nuclear war, or attacking city states, and I believe other things like getting close to victory (you or the AI)

Again, your info wasn’t way off, but not quite accurate either. And it’s also likely I didn’t state the info correctly either. Hopefully people who are interested enough will go find the correct info themselves.

Now, here’s to hoping I’m not remembering something incorrectly, either about the show or the expansion! ;)

    • sorry about that second paragraph, got up in the middle of my thought and created a bit of a mess of it!! haha

Should be something more like: “Won’t always automatically trigger on events, just a chance of triggering. No idea of the odds of triggering.”

    • Well, religion is a huge focus in rise and fall, even if it was released early, because look at all the civs that are focused on religion. I suspect that religion was released in a free update is because civ 6 sales were flagging. I’ll discuss it more on the next WeX.

      Thanks for listening, we appreciate.
