  1. Franchises with vast amounts of lore such as Warhammer and Battletech are a bit of a double-edged sword for me. They benefit from having a solid foundation in many ways, but you also kind of have to know all that lore to really enjoy the franchise. And there’s just so much of it in all directions, it’s overwhelming. Life’s too short to sort through it all.

  2. Enjoyable listen as always, thanks guys!

No worries about the forum change. I’ve run “open” forums before and they never stayed open for long.

Even today, with a very obscure and mostly dead forum, I receive around a hundred spambot-warnings a day from my forum gatekeeper. It sucks.

I have no direct influence on American politics, but I’m hoping that Net Neutrality stays a thing. If it is defeated in the US, odds are Canada won’t be far behind. Sigh.

I have really enjoyed the LP videos, looking forward to any developments!

And lastly, a PSA: SpellForce 3 is also releasing on GOG!

  3. Pretty harsh comments on the new FCC chairman Pai. I don’t think the issue is at all as simple as all the doom and gloom predictions we hear make it out to be.

Net neutrality was instituted just 2 years ago, but if we remove it now the future will be a world where all the ISP’s just mercilessly screw everybody and rake in untold profits, and the internet will be so riddled with fee’s and whatnot that only wealthy Americans will be able to use it? That scenario they paint is one that obviously looks nothing like the pre-net neutrality internet of just a few years ago.

Net neutrality was introducing new regulations on internet to combat a problem that didn’t yet exist. There are a lot of problems(to me) with pro-active regulation like that. I actually do think we will run into some problems with the repeal of net neutrality, but I think they’ll get sorted out.

It’s important to point out that this repeal does not remove any and all regulation from ISP’s and that they’ll be free to do w/e. They will still fall under the purview of the FCC and any unfair practices they may engage in can be brought forward to be judged and, if need be, curtailed.

    • The problem is that this will not happen with the fcc that way it is now. There in lies the rub. With the clowns that are in charge now, there is nothing positive to it. Without getting political, any more than I already have, I will leave it at that. I recommend that any/all people at least make themselves more aware of the possibilities.

      That’s the best I’ve got.
