  1. pity that I did not understood your mind about recent community IA subject. Anyway ES2 is not a good game, it’s boring and I think it is still in construction. But EL is really great and interresting game, right I
Wish you chance for the future days.

  2. I’ve enjoyed ES2 so far, myself. Beautiful to look at, great UI, and interesting stories. True, some of the writing could be improved, but I find this to be the case with most other games too. (This is coming from someone who’s been devouring books for more than three decades now, so I’m probably a bit more critical than some.) The only noticeable problem I’ve found so far after yesterday’s update, after playing a few hours, is that the “Suggest Terms” feature in diplomacy is still broken.

  3. ES2 is a great “PROJECT” game it is true that the game is still under construction but ES2 got a great potential and step by step it will conquer 4x gamers just give them a little time !! be patient =)

  4. As far as the Equifax thing goes, yes, the best thing you can probably do is a credit freeze. Just Google it. It might cost a small fee, but it doesn’t effect your credit in any way and you can “unfreeze” it at any time if you need to, usually with just a pin number (just be sure not to use a birthday or social, etc, for your pin – even more important than usual considering what info was stolen).

  5. Endless Space 2 is shaping up. The release was looking great but an unbalanced mess. Now it feels much more solid and interesting, but it still feel it could use a few years growing into what I expect will be my favorite 4x game, at least until Triumf releases what they are cooking up.

The best thing about the ES2 mechanical wise is the exploring and the solar system concept. In new Moo I get so bored by building the same buildings over and over again on planets that feels the same. In ES each system shares the buildings and since you have so many different planets, anomalies and alien populations to fiddle around with it does not become boring or cumbersome and each system feels more unique.

The worst thing is probably the heroes and their skill trees. They all feel the same. The only decision for each hero is should I take a fleet or planet skill. So basically after first deciding if you want a pilot or governor the rest of leveling already decided. Their ships are so boring too. Would be nice to unlock flagships. But what I would like the most now is a rework of the heroes skills so they would feel more unique. Not sure what should be done thou.

    • Perhaps should they divide the Endless space heroes into two groups. Make them Pilots or governors with their own sub groups and then rework the skill system into two or three skill trees where some choices might lock out others, so that your pilots/governors can´t be experts on everything. I do like the idea to keep one of the threes dependent on the race.

      • Yea, the already made a pass at the heroes, but you are hitting the nail on the head. The new update is making another by updating the admirals to improve how to level up via combat. That;ll probably make a good but of difference.

      • Not even close…

        I am currently using:

        15 cosmetic ones

49 Voice ones (all from Walker, Texas Ranger)

28 Quality of Life fixes – Most of them are bugs that modders fixed, and a few are features that do not impact gameplay at all, but make the game better

        10 Gameplay affecting mods

I am still waiting on 35 mods to be updated (mostly cosmetic and voices)
