  1. Perhaps you mentioned this but the download link for the designer build of Remnants of the Precursors no longer works. It looks like a new designer build will be release in April or May. Do I have this right or is there a place to download the game now?

  2. This is the developer for Remnants. The last developer build was in December and that version has expired. That’s something I was previously doing to prevent old versions of the game from floating around the internet.

However, with the next developer build (maybe in about a month?), there won’t be an expiration on it. That’s something I’ve decided to do away with. You’ll be able to see/play the latest developer version at that point.

    Hope that helps!

    1. Thank you Ray. MOO1 was my favorite of the MOOs and I’ve always wanted a proper re-make/update. I’ll be looking forward to see what you release come spring. Until then best of luck with this project.

  3. Enjoyable listen as always, thanks guys!

Love the deadpan. “I’ve been playing long war. It’s.. long.”

My only real fear at this point is that Crusade and Utopia drop at the same time. Despite being old and jaded, I find myself giddily riding the hype train for both. I don’t want to have to choose! :D

      1. George,
If that was addressed to me, no worries. I have more than enough money to fund this project until completion. The gating factor for everything is just mainly the time required to make all of the artwork

  4. nice show again, thanks.
looking forward to the battle brothers excursion.

do you guys have connections to the m.o.r.e. and/or predestination developers?
both seem to gotten somewhat quiet, maybe you could get some informations for the next show about
    the future plans?

  5. Now that you mention it. Why DO you ignore GOG completely? GOG has a lot of classic 4X games you always refer to in you podcasts and articles, and they’re DRM Free. Is that not something you should be supporting? or at least give it a mention from time to time?

    1. By the way, I have an answer for you from our founder, Rob “Devildog” Honker aka the4Xplorer (as he goes by now). This from a pinned post on the forums:

“Welcome to the eXplorminate.net Steam Forums!

I’ve decided to use the Steam forums here as our main website forum for a few reasons:

      1) Most people who are playing PC games are on Steam.
      2) Cuts down on additional accounts needing to be created by our website-goers!
      3) They’re easily updated and best of all, FREE!
      4) There’s already a bunch of great discussions here.

If you need to get back to the site, go here: eXplorminate[www.explorminate.net]

Otherwise, enjoy the discussions and as always, if you have feedback for us, we’d love to hear it!”
