  1. Including Star Trek and Star Wars in the poll would have been a little pointless anyway, considering just about every major 4X has a total conversion for those IPs. It’s even more or less my personal standard of a successful game: you’re not a proper 4X if there’s not at least one SW or ST mod for it.

Also they pretty much do have their own 4Xes anyway. Birth of the Federation and Rebellion come to mind.

  2. I just have to say, that the Stargate set up would be perfect for an X-COM type game. Honestly, the whole show is just made this way, small teams going for, scouting, recovery, battle, support, science, acquisition missions all over the galaxy. retrieving alien technology, reserch it, adapt it, use it to get an advantage etc.
Maybe Julian should have tried to get the liecence for Stargate instead creating a new IP? Does anyone know something new of his project? I didn’t get any update mail since a long time.

    1. It must be all that warm air and sunshine he was getting in SoCal. He’s back in New England now, so I’m sure everything will be back to normal since there’s like a foot of snow on the ground and temps have a minus sign in front of them.

  3. Happy new year guys!

Enjoyable listen as always. I actually wouldn’t mind a bit of a 4X slowdown in 2017; there’s already more content out there than I can enjoy in several lifetimes. :)
