  1. Thanks for another entertaining show. But I want to let you know…. I have come to have ZERO INTEREST in anything that is not at least a released 1.0 version game. ZERO.

Otherwise it’s the game has to get made, that’s a year, then it has to get patched, that’s a year, then it has to get polished, that’s a year. So why do I want to hear about how ‘colony mechanics’ will work in a game I won’t be playing for three years? When there are so many space 4x’s that are released and getting big updates? I’d much more interested in knowing what the big patches hitting already released games are doing for those games.

Can you ask Brad what’s the skinny on this big ‘expansion/patch that’s going to totally change GC3’? I’ve heard early 2017…. that’s a month from now. What IS going on with that? I’m not talking about 1.9 (which just dropped) but the ‘big expansion’ I keep hearing rumors (but no hard data) about.

I’d love to see a show or article about a ‘state of the existing space 4x games’ describing where they are and where (if we know) they’re going. With ZERO time spent on any game that isn’t already release version 1.0 or higher.

    1. Absolutely. As far as the Brad question, we did on our last StraX. It was a Brad interview. That was as much as he was willing to share with us at the time.

We’ll do something for the existing 4X games, but we usually do them as ReeXaminations. We have one for GAlCiv 3 being edited, and another for NuMoO (TM) in the near future. Stellaris just had one as well.

  2. Discovered your show a few months ago, and you’re now #1 in my podcast lineup. You guys have a great vibe going, it’s a breath of fresh air compared to much of the other stuff out there these days. Keep up the great work!
